I’m starting to realize little by little the significance of those words. I thought I knew back then (when the Lord came and rescued me), what it means to fully depend on Him for strenght and courage. But the truth is that I’ve grown so much since then. A lot has happened since I began my walk with God. The things I’ve gone through and am going through are helping me mature and understand certain things with greater clarity. God has spoken to me in numerous ways these past few months about what my priorties need to be as a woman of God. He recently told me that He is a jealous God. And while being jealous is not a positive humane quality, God is a jealous God because He loves you. You were already on His mind before your mother and father met, and before you were in the womb, your design was already laid out by Him. He loves you so much that even before you had your first trial and error, He already knew how He was going to make it work out for your good. But not trusting Him to work in our lives makes things so difficult. We like so much to feel that we’re in control, that when we lose control, we basically consider it done. We feel like our world collapses and there’s nothing we can do about it. You know what? There is nothing to do but TRUST the God who loves you and protects you from all harm. The promises have already been made, are you living according to the promises He’s made in your life (the promises He’s given through in His Holy Word, or personal revelations), or do you live hopeless and terrorized by the current situation you are facing? Do you not realize your God is an awesome and powerful God?
God is jealous for you because the plans He has for you are those of good and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. So when we decide to take path that goes against of what He desires for us, He feels us pushing Him away. You have direct access to His Presence, you are a coheir with Christ, free to enjoy the benefits of eternal life, joy, and peace! No matter what may come or go. God remains when nothing else does. He is jealous for you, because He desires you to live the life He has prepared for you to live, and He wants nothing more than your happiness.
God is so marvelous. If you could just grasp the fact that, love is kind, pure, and excellent. That it is real, truer than anything you could ever experience in this world. And that God is love. That He loves you for who you are and doesn’t expect you to live by society’s standards, but by what He has called you to be. A light in the midst of the profound darkness of this world. That’s just how jealous He is, that He wants no other thing to shine in us but His light. Not fame, not fortune, not pleasures…only the light of His love in a loveless world.
I am terrible at making a consistent blog post. I too often find myself jumping from one point to another, but if there’s one thing I wish for you to know is that God is here, God is there with you in the midst of your problem, helping you, shaping you, making you the person you were meant to be. Live life fearless, holding forever onto the hope found only in His uncomparable, undefeatable, never changing, always victorious LOVE.
I leave you guys with some song lyrics by Samuel Hernandez:
“God is in control, why should I fear?
God is in control, why should I despair?
Thought I don’t understand the present trials, I live in peace,
Because God is in control.”
God bless <3
